Methodology
For this project, we utilized the Salt Lake Community Library Database and obtained information from peer-reviewed journals, magazines, online periodicals, and publications related to our topic of food deserts. For images, info-graphs, and maps were collected from government websites such as the US Department of Agriculture and the U.S Census Bureau. Government websites also provided statistical information on consumer preferences, areas that have a high population of poverty and that showed the distance of supermarkets from low income areas. We watched on line videos such as Ted Talks, to gain an understanding of possible solution to the urban drought. Click here for a full listing of our resources.
